Hyundai Kona electric SUV launched in Nepal

Rupesh Sharma Bhatta, deputy general manager of sales and marketing at Laxmi Intercontinental said that the company delivered two vehicles on the first day of its launch.
Hyundai KONA is a fully-electric subcompact SUV featuring unique exterior design with closed grille and a dedicated centre console in the interior for intuitive operation of the shift-by-wire module, said the company in a press statement. KONA EV was designed uniquely by using cutting edge technology.
According to the press statement, KONA’s electric power train is capable of producing 135 PS of power, with a driving range of over 300 kilometres on a single charge thanks to its 39.2 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack.
The main features of the KONA EV include discrete top-bottom LED DRLs and headlamps, concealed front charge port, LED rear lamps, electric parking brake (EPB) with autohold, paddle shifter, heated and ventilated front seats, wireless charger (phone) and six airbags.
KONA EV is a significant leap forward for Hyundai Motor as it intensifies its commitment to produce highly efficient and eco-friendly vehicles, said the press statement.
