Kantipur journalist Krishna Acharya has been honoured with the Sejon Award presented by the Society of Economic Journalists, Nepal (Sejon) annually. The jury had selected Acharya’s news story on noted Indian yoga guru Swami Ramdev conducting business in Nepal without approval.
Similarly, Dilip Poudel of Nagarik Daily received the award in the print media category for his news entitled ‘Rs700m ‘stolen’ in Rs1.5b NOC land deal’.
Likewise, Kiran Bhattarai of National News Agency and Sitaram Bilasi of Corporate Nepal were awarded in the electronic media category. Swarnim Wagle, Vice Chairman of National Planning Commission handed over a cheque of Rs25,000 to each of the award winners.
