First Wai Wai noodle bar opens in Lalitpur

Nirvana Chaudhary, managing director of Chaudhary Group officially inaugrated the first outlet of Wai Wai City on Monday. “With Wai Wai City, we aim to extend the legacy of Wai Wai noodles to a larger audience with a unique and refreshing experience, and a one of a kind noodle bar concept,” said Chaudhary, “For us this is the beginning of an exciting journey with 14 operations outlets in India and Nepal, with more to come in other markets as well.”
Wai Wai instant noodles are loved by people of all ages, especially school going children, reads the press release. The menu at Wai Wai City offers an array of noodle dishes cooked in interesting styles influenced by Oriental flavours, giving noodle lovers a host of new ways to consume this cult snack, reads the press release.
Customers will be able to order from four types of noodles: Classic, Chopsuey, Roasted and Pan Fried. They can also choose from a list of seven sauces, which are, Soy Garlic, Kung Pao, Masala Fusion,Hot Garlic, Pepper Soya, Spicy Teriyaki, Schezwan Chilli along with eighteen vegetables, ten toppings and five add-ons.
The outlet is looking to provide an aromatic experience as well as a visual treat to see each dish being prepared with fresh ingredients right in front of the customer, reads the press release.
Other items on the menu at Wai Wai City include flavourful fusions like the ‘momosa’, the ‘Wai Wai Chatpatte’ and ‘zucchini masala fries’. Customers will also be able to come up with their own recipe at Wai Wai City through the outlet’s ‘Make Your Own Dish’ offer, by allowing customers to create their favourite noodle bowl just the way they like it, reads the press release.
Aside from the taste, the outlet is also looking to stand out by creating a functional space in its outlet through the use of colourful and quirky graphics, reads the press release. The company claims that the Wai Wai City outlet is the first in its category in Nepal that promises a unique and exciting noodle bar experience.
The company is looking to expand Wai Wai City using the QSR format (Quick Service Restaurant) through the franchise channel, with an estimated expansion investment of Rs4 billion and 1,500 outlets over the next five years. The company is targeting multiple markets like Nepal, India, Australia, Germany, Middle East, US, Malaysia and UK.
The quick service restaurant along with the open kitchen, quirky graphics aims to be the go-to noodle destination for the youth, reads the press release.
Executive Director at CG Corp Global Varun Chaudhary explained the decision to open Wai Wai City, “We wanted to come up with something that evokes nostalgia in people, taking them back to their school and college days when Wai Wai noodles
was their favourite snack. We intend to offer our customers a whole new world of taste and flavours along with a walk down memory lane.”
