Panel led by Industrialist Shekhar Golchha who was vying for the post of senior vice-president was the favourite leading up to the polls and secured a landslide victory over the panel led by his rival Kishore Kumar Pradhan, who was also vying for the same post.
Golchha will be at the helm of the organisation after three years without taking part in the election upon completion of the tenure of the incumbent president.
