The event hosted a number of IT companies, such as VisualiseVR, Pumori, Yomari, E-Zone International, Info Developers, Onver, Young Minds, Web Tree and Erasoft Solution, which demonstrated their latest software.
“The softech summit is an interesting platform to demonstrate our latest products,” said Saurav Bajracharya, cofounder of VisualiseVR, a company that develops virtual reality apps.
Rachana Tuladhar, senior executive programmer of Mercantile Office Systems, echoed Bajracharya.
Exhibition desks at the summit were installed with touch screen monitors and even ready to use virtual reality headsets, where visitors were taking hands on experience themselves.
The event had few products for individuals, such as virtual reality apps, whereas majority software companies had products targeted towards enterprises, such as enterprise resource planning software, human resource management software, and website development solutions.
Nepali software industry has to build a stronger brand image in order to generate demand from foreign markets, said Amit Agrawal CEO of Janaki Technology, delivering a presentation at the summit.
The day-long summit was organised by the Federation of Computer Association Nepal (CAN Federation) in collaboration with Yomari Solution and Info Developers Pvt Ltd.
