Bajaj rolls out new range of Avenger motorcycles

The Avenger 220 Cruise, 220 Street, and 150 Street have been launched with an aim of redefining the cruiser motorbike segment, company said in a statement.
Priced at Rs2,94,900, the Avenger 220 Cruise is a classic cruiser that comes with new radiator, redesigned side grabs, new handlebar and low slung seats. The bike comes with multiple style enhancements like padded backrest and optional windshield.
The Avenger 150 Street is designed to help easy manoeuvring in city streets while pulling out support from a new, lower and flatter handlebar. The street series has been launched keeping in mind an emerging populace of 150cc bike riders and is priced at Rs2,49,900, while its bigger 220cc variant is priced at Rs2,84,900, the company said.
“Bajaj has become a market leader in this segment because of its focus on outstanding product design and superior engine technology,” said Shekhar Golchha, executive director of Hansraj Hulaschand & Co. “The Avenger Cruise and Street series will set new rules, redefine the conception of the segment and change the cruiser segment’s market.”
The new bikes come with new graphics, styling cues, improved rear suspension, robust alloy wheels and low slung seats with thick dual density foam adding to riding comfort, according to the company.
The Avenger 220 Street comes in matte black and brushed silver finish, while the 150 Street comes in midnight blue.
The 220cc bikes come with DTSi engine producing 19ps of power and 17.5Nm torque. They feature an oil-cooler to maintain engine oil temperature and viscosity. The Avenger 150 Street has a revised 150cc DTSi engine delivering 14.5pc of power and 12.5Nm of torque.
The Avenger 220 street and 150 street are available at all the Bajaj Outlets across the country.
