Danish Crown Prince Frederick, who is on a four day Nepal visit, has been meeting with families affected by the April 25 earthquake.
Here are five interesting things about the crown prince and his Danish Dynasty!
- He was named Frederick after his maternal grandfather, King Frederick IX. In Denmark, the heir apparent has to be named either Frederick or Christian
- Prince Frederick and his brother Prince Joachim went to a regular school with normal children.
- His mother, Queen Margrethe II, is currently the reigning monarch. She celebrated 40 years of her reign in 2012.
- The Danish Royal Family is quite popular in their country. Their approval ratings in Denmark, is anywhere between 82 per cent and 92 per cent.
- The Danish Monarchy can be traced back more than 1000 years.
