Devi Rai, 70, of Lungrupa-3 was sentenced to imprisonment by the the District Court, which handed down this verdict within 15 days after the registration of the petition. The Court has also directed Rai to give Rs 25,000 to the victim as compensation. 

The parents of the victim had registered a complaint on June 10 at the District Police Office, Panchthar and the police on June 28 handed over the case to the court after carrying out investigation into the case. RSS
