Talks with oppns will be meaningful: Poudel
Vice President of the Nepali Congress, Ram Chandra Poudel, has said that the talks with the opposition parties would be meaningful.
Talking to media persons here on Tuesday, Vice-President Poudel said the opposition parties should cooperate with the ruling parties to forge consensus. He urged the opposition alliance to hold intra-party discussions.
Saying that no agreement could be signed by putting the democracy at stake, the NC vice president said the ruling parties are serious to promulgate the new constitution.
"Either listen to us or convince us," leader Poudel told the opposition alliance.
He further said the new constitution would be promulgated soon if the opposition parties become positive.
Earlier in the day, addressing a condolence assembly organised in memory of late Kamala Pandit, Poudel said that demands of all sides would be addressed along with the promulgation of new constitution.
