Gajurel rules out unification with UCPN (M)
CPN-Maoist Vice Chairman CP Gajurel has ruled out the possibility of his party's unification with the UCPN (Maoist) at present.Ekantipur Report
Speaking at a programme organised by Reporters' Club in the Capital on Wednesday, leader Gajurel said, "There has been no talks or agreement about unification between the two parties that split over sharp ideological differences."
He made it clear that there could be unification between the two parties if the UCPN (Maoist) becomes ready accept the six-point proposal including adoption of Marxism, Leninism and Maoism as party's principle.
Leader Gajurel further rubbished the chances of unification between the two parties as the recent Biratnagar national convention of UCPN (Maoist) failed to make any changes in the party's policy.
Referring to the UCPN (M)'s Biratnagar convention, Gajurel said differences seen between party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and leader Baburam Bhattarai show that both leaders cannot stay together for long.
The CPN- Maoist Vice chairman further said that political crisis in the country has deepened after the second Constituent Assembly (CA) election stressing on the need for an all-party conference as the best alternative for durable solution to this problem.
