Debaka Lamichhane of the CPN (Maoist Centre) has been elected deputy mayor of Nalgad Municipality in Jajarkot.
Lamichhane received 4,272 votes, defeating her closest rival, Indra Chand Singh of the Nepali Congress, who secured 3,147 votes.
Sunita Bohara of the CPN-UML garnered 2,542 votes, while Parbati Pun of the Rastriya Swatantra Party received 179 votes.
