One person died when a jeep en route to Deuli Bazar from Deurisalla met with an accident in Gaurisalla of Chankheli Rural Municipality-2 in Humla district.

Ramesh Malla, 24, was seriously injured in the accident and took his last breath at Karnali Province Hospital, the district police office, Humla said on Wednesday.

Malla and four others critically injured were airlifted to the province hospital via Simrik Air. According to the District Police Office, Malla died while undergoing treatment at Karnali State Hospital in Surkhet.

Further investigation on the accident is underway, the police said.
