One person died and another was injured in an auto rickshaw accident in Jumla district.

According to police, a 40-year-old man from Chandannath Municipality-10 died when the auto rickshaw heading to Patarasi Rural Municipality from Khalanga met with an accident at Patarasi-7.

Deputy Superintended of Police Prahlad Karki at Jumla District Police Office said Neupane died while he was brought to Karnali Institute of Health Sciences for treatment.

According to him, a 42-year-old man from Patarasi 3 was injured and is receiving treatment at the hospital.

Police have detained auto rickshaw driver Govinda Sharki of Talium in Chandannath Municipality.
