Woman dies in road accident in Surkhet, kin block traffic demanding compensation

Traffic has been obstructed in Surkhet on Monday morning after a woman died in a road accident.
A 66-year-old woman from Chhedagad Municipality of Jajarkot district died after she was hit by a bus in front of Bus Park on Sunday. The woman was currently living in Birendranagar Municipality-10.
Her relatives have blocked the road by burning tyres at major thoroughfares of the city demanding proper compensation and strict action against the driver.

The short and long-haul vehicles leaving Surkhet Bus Park have been stopped due to the protest.
Police said they detained the 33-year-old bus driver, Khagendra Prasad Rijal, of Dailekh on Sunday night for an investigation into the case.
