The gallery is hosting the 47th art exhibition of the Hyeonsangjeon Group, a South Korea-based contemporary artists’ group.
Post Report
Hyeonsangjeon Group, a South Korea-based group of artists, recently arrived in Nepal for their 47th art exhibition. The group is made up of contemporary artists from the Limlip Art Museum in South Korea. The group’s works are heavily inspired by their teacher Lim Lip, who also founded the Limlip Art Museum (1945).
Lim Lip was a painter and educator born in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do, Korea, and he is widely respected for promoting Korean art around the world.
Along with promoting contemporary art, the group’s Nepal exhibition also aims to carry forward the teachings of their teacher, Lim Lip. The group’s goal is to exhibit and celebrate Lim Lip’s individual works and honour him while promoting contemporary art culture’s development through exhibitions.
As part of the exhibition, the works of prominent artists like Baek Hye ok, Jeon Kyu il, Kim Duk, and Kim Si suk, among others, are put on display at Gallery MCube. The group has also invited artists like Ahn Seok ha, Jeong San youn, and Kim Young an, among others, to exhibit their artworks.
“We are honoured to have such a talented group of international artists at our gallery,” says Manish Lal Shrestha, executive director of Gallery MCube.
