Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman in Kathmandu
Hollywood's veteran actor Morgan Freeman is in Kathmandu. American Embassy on Tuesday made public a photo of Freeman walking in the inner city of Kathmandu wearing Daura Suruwal, the national dress of the Nepal.

Hollywood's veteran actor Morgan Freeman is in Kathmandu. American Embassy on Tuesday made public a photo of Freeman walking in the inner city of Kathmandu wearing Daura Suruwal, the national dress of the Nepal.
In the photo made public by the Embassy in its Facebook Page and Twitter, Freeman was seen walking in the inner city of Kathmandu wearing Daura Suruwal, muffler and coat.
The Embassy, however, did not divulge when he arrived in Kathmandu.
The post on the Embassy’s Facebook Page read, “Some people ask why do cultural preservation efforts matter? One of the answers is preserving them for future generations, as well as tourists & visitors like Hollywood legend Morgan Freeman! He even looks good in Nepali Daura Suruwal while touring cultural places in Kathmandu, don’t you think?
Freeman had won the best supporting actor for “Million Dollar Baby” in the 2005 Academy Awards.He has received Oscar nominations for his performances in Street Smart (1987), Driving Miss Daisy (1989), The Shawshank Redemption (1994), and Invictus (2009). He has also won a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
Freeman has served as a narrator, commentator, and voice actor for numerous programs, series and television shows.
On top of that, he had won many awards till date. Born in 1937, Freeman’s first credited film appearance was in 1971's Who Says I Can't Ride a Rainbow?
