Failure is an inevitable obstacle in life. You may be too stressed or too worried when you go through failure. It is natural. But, it is important to know that to fail is important if you want to understand what success feels like. If you carefully try to learn from each failure, you are bound to succeed one day.
Interestingly, many people want to live within their comfort-zones. This, of course, is a natural tendency. But comfort doesn’t always mean more meaningful. Comfort doesn’t always translate to good life. Being comfortable may not always lead to success.
Sometimes no mantra works well than ‘no pain, no gain’ when it comes to leading a meaningful and successful life.
In today’s competitive world, there is no shortcut or an easy formula for overnight success. Confidence, persistence, passion, and honesty along with a positive frame of mindset will definitely cultivate positive result. Keeping such noble qualities in mind, you should also be aware of your weaknesses and try to correct them in time.
Recently, I have realised that knowing your limitations and working against them, will help you produce better results. I, for instance, feel that when I am unable to focus on my work, it costs me a lot of time and energy. It immediately works as hindrance against both short-time and long-term success. Ever since I have realised this flaw of mine and started working on it, I feel like I have gotten closer to winning.
Of course, knowing your own limitations and working on them is frustrating. But like Jack Ma, Chinese business magnate and founder of the Alibaba Group, once said, “Never give up. Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will be sunshine.”
Perseverance is the key. Many people give up on their goals without reaching them. The only way to the top is through the challenges. You have to overcome your fears, you have to overcome your laziness.
The reason why only a very few people are recognised in the world is because of their extraordinary willingness to get as close as possible to their goals. One of the greatest scientists of all time, Thomas Edison, had failed 10,000 times while inventing the light bulb.
If you take a close look at successful people’s story, you will note that what led them to success is their determination. When they fail, they don’t give up. Instead they learn fast and work hard. It is important to make the best out of failure when you experience it. You need not be disheartened because failing only means you have learnt what doesn’t work. Let failure make you wise and make you hungry for success. To quote Winston Churchill, “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.”
