The book was unveiled jointly by former-Minister of Health Gagan Thapa, Professor Bidhyanath Koirala, and anthropologist Bihari Krishna Shrestha, amid a function held in the Capital.
Speaking at the event, Professor Koirala said that Humagain’s novel encompasses a wide range of subjects, from philosophy of life, and society, to environment conservation. “To summarise the book in one sentence: It tells one how to have peace of mind,” said Koirala. “The book offers a blend of western and eastern philosophy...The book centres on how soul can be connected to cosmic energy.”
Former-Minister Thapa, speaking at the launch, said that Humagain “is a fine designer as well as an influential thinker.” “The book is based on philosophical thoughts but still manages to touch upon the political history of Nepal. The second part of the book, however, makes one feel they are reading a romantic novel.”
Author Humagain said that the novel is his “attempt to shed light to the social ills and hope for a better society.”
