In the Lap of the Himalayas, a Nepali film festival, is currently ongoing in Pune, India. 

The film festival, organised by Pune International Centre in collaboration with National Film Archive, India, and Nepal’s National Film Board, aims to promote Nepali films among the Nepali-speaking people in India. The film festival will host screening of more than a dozen critically-acclaimed Nepali films released in various years. 

To be screened at the fest are films such as Kalo Pothi, Mukhundo, Pashupati Prasad, Dying Candle, Love Sasha and Seto Bagh. Likewise, the Ram Babu Gurung directorial Kabaddi and Nischal Basnet’s 2014 film Talak Juing vs Tulke will also headline the fest. 

The fest will come to a close with the screening of the film Chhaya, by Manoj Pandit.
