Third Ekadeshma short film festival
The third-year edition of Ekadeshma, a short film festival, is being ogranised at QFX Kumari, Kamalpokhari, starting from September 19.Of the films that are being screened, 17 have been made by Nepali filmmakers and 52 are from countries ranging from Cambodia to the USA. Out of these, 17 will be screened as world premiere. Fifty-two of the films are being screened for the first time in Nepal.
The event will also be hosting several talks and panel discussions regarding various topics and issues of film and filmmaking. The programmes will bring together aspiring filmmakers, professional directors, producers, actors, editors, cinematographers to share their experiences and knowledge regarding the field. Through the discussions, the organisers hope to offer the opportunity for a more intimate and interactive exchange of experiences between the audience and experts.
During the opening day on Friday, Kafal Pakyo by Niranjan Raj Bhetwal (Nepal), Wrapped by Florian Wittmann, Roman Kalin and Falco Paeper (Germany), and Tamaash by Satyanshu Singh and Devanshu Singh (India) will be screened.
