Post Report
The Nepal Research and Collaboration Center (NRCC) will host its annual panel discussion, ‘Building a Sustainable Research Ecosystem in Nepal: Digital Tools, Collaboration, and Policy’, on February 16 at St Xavier’s College, Maitighar, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The event is open to all.
This year’s discussion will highlight how digital tools such as artificial intelligence and research platforms can enhance research capacity. It will also explore partnerships between government, academia, private sectors, and research organisations to promote research-driven development.
Key panellists include Minendra Rijal, a politician, economist, and former minister of Information and Communications; Rabindra Prasad Dhakal, secretary of the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST); Sunita Gautam, chairperson of Novala Biotech; Bikash Gurung, president of the Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN); and Bhaskar Bhatt, chief executive officer of Dignep. They will discuss policy frameworks and strategies to overcome barriers like funding and infrastructure.
Founded in 2019 and registered in 2022, NRCC has promoted collaborative research and empowered students and researchers through initiatives like monthly Research Talks and STEM campaigns.
This panel aims to foster meaningful collaboration and inspire policy shifts that promote innovation and sustainability in Nepal’s research ecosystem.
