A partial impact of a westerly low-pressure system is influencing the country’s weather, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said on Wednesday morning.

In the afternoon, hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces will see generally cloudy conditions. The mountainous areas of other provinces will also remain partly to generally cloudy, while the Tarai will be mainly fair, with morning mist in some places.

Light rain or snowfall is likely at a few places in the high hills and mountains of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two places in Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

At night, the mountainous region will remain generally cloudy and the hills partly cloudy, while the Tarai will stay mostly clear with mist in some areas. Light rain or snowfall is likely at one or two places in the high hills and mountains of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
