The Meteorological Forecasting Division said the weather on Thursday is expected to remain generally cloudy in the mountainous regions and partly cloudy elsewhere during the day.

Light rain and snowfall are likely at a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. One or two places in the remaining hilly and mountainous regions may also receive light precipitation.

Fog is likely in a few Tarai districts in the morning.

During the night, Koshi and Bagmati provinces, along with other mountainous regions, are expected to see generally cloudy conditions. Madhesh province and other hilly areas will witness partly cloudy skies, while the rest of the country is likely to remain mainly clear.

There is a chance of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Mist is likely in some Tarai districts at night, the division said.
