Parts of the Tarai are likely to witness fog during the day and night over the next 24 hours, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

In its forecast issued at 8am on Wednesday, the division said some places in the Tarai will experience fog or mist during the afternoon. The weather will remain partly cloudy in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country is expected to remain mainly clear.

Similar conditions are expected at night, with fog likely in parts of the Tarai and partly cloudy skies in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki, the division said.

The division said Nepal is currently under the partial influence of westerly winds.
