Fog or mist is likely at some places in the Tarai on Sunday, while the weather will remain generally fair across most parts of the country.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, partial cloud cover is expected in the hilly and mountainous areas of Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country will see mainly clear skies.

The division said there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces during the day.

At night, fog is likely to persist in parts of the Tarai. Partial cloud cover is expected in the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Gandaki provinces, with a chance of light rain or snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and Himalayas of Karnali and Gandaki provinces, the division said.
