Fog and mist will continue to affect many parts of the Tarai over the next 24 hours, while weather conditions in the hilly and mountainous regions are expected to remain largely clear.

In its 24-hour forecast issued at 8am on Monday, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said fog would persist in many Tarai areas during the day. The rest of the country is likely to see mainly clear skies.

At night, fog is expected to form in some Tarai locations, while hilly and mountainous regions will continue to experience generally fair weather, the Division said.

The Division said the current weather pattern is influenced by a partial effect of westerly winds across the country.
