Fog is expected in most parts of the Tarai until midday on Friday, while the weather will remain partly cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The remaining hilly and mountainous regions are likely to see mainly fair weather during the day.

At night, fog is likely to persist in some parts of the Tarai. Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces are forecast to remain partly cloudy, while the rest of the hilly and mountainous areas will stay mostly clear.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division said the country is under the partial influence of western winds, along with a low-pressure system developing over the southwest Bay of Bengal.
