Fog is likely to affect many places in the Tarai over the next 24 hours, while parts of the high hilly and Himalayan regions may see light rain or snowfall, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

In the afternoon, most Tarai areas are expected to experience fog. The high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces will remain partly cloudy, while the rest of the country will see mainly fair weather. A few places in the high hills and Himalayas of these provinces may receive light rain or snowfall.

At night, fog is expected in many Tarai locations. The high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces will remain partly cloudy, with mainly clear conditions elsewhere. There is a chance of light rain or snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and Himalayas.

The division said the weather pattern is influenced by a partial effect of westerly winds across the country.
