Light rain or snowfall is likely at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces this afternoon, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The Division said the high hilly and Himalayan regions will remain generally cloudy, while the rest of the hilly areas will see partial cloud cover. Many parts of the Tarai are expected to experience fog or mist during the day.

At night, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces, with mainly fair conditions elsewhere. There remains a chance of light rain or snowfall at isolated places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of these provinces. Fog is likely to persist in many parts of the Tarai.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division said westerly winds are currently influencing weather conditions across the country.
