The Meteorological Forecasting Division said the country will remain generally cloudy on Tuesday, with chances of rainfall and snowfall in several areas.

Moderate rain or snowfall is likely in some places of Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces, and at a few high hill and mountainous areas of other provinces. Light rain is also possible at one or two places in the Tarai.

Heavy snowfall or rain is expected in one or two high hilly and mountainous areas of Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

At night, skies will remain generally cloudy over Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces, while partly cloudy conditions are expected in the Tarai. Moderate rain or snowfall is possible in some parts of Gandaki, and at a few high hill and mountainous areas of Bagmati, Lumbini and Karnali.

The division said the current weather pattern is influenced by a westerly wind system and a low-pressure area formed over the Arabian Sea.
