The Meteorological Forecasting Division said monsoon winds are currently influencing the country’s weather.

This afternoon, skies will be generally cloudy in Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, and partly cloudy elsewhere. Moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim, and at one or two places in hilly and Tarai regions of other provinces.

Tonight, conditions will remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim, and partly cloudy in the rest. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible at a few places in hilly and Tarai areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim.
