The Meteorological Forecasting Division said on Monday that monsoon influence remains weak across the country, with local winds having partial effect.

This afternoon, skies are expected to remain generally cloudy in Koshi Province and other hilly areas, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy conditions. Moderate rainfall is likely at some places in Koshi Province, at a few places in other hilly regions, and at one or two places in the Tarai.

Tonight, partly cloudy conditions are expected in Koshi Province and other hilly areas, with mainly fair to partly cloudy skies elsewhere. Moderate rainfall is likely at some places in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki hills, and at one or two places in other hilly regions. Heavy rainfall is forecast at one or two places in the hills of Koshi and Bagmati Provinces, the division said.
