The Meteorological Forecasting Division said the country will see partly to mostly cloudy conditions on Thursday, with a chance of moderate rainfall in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at a few places elsewhere.

Heavy rain is likely at one or two locations in the hilly and Tarai regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces this afternoon.

Tonight, partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected nationwide, with moderate rainfall possible in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

According to the division, the monsoon trough is positioned near its average location, while moisture from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal is affecting weather patterns.
