The Meteorological Forecasting Division said the weather will remain generally cloudy across the country on Wednesday. Moderate rainfall is likely in several areas of Bagmati and Lumbini provinces, including the hilly regions, while a few places elsewhere may also see showers. One or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Karnali provinces, and the Tarai of Lumbini province, could witness heavy rainfall in the afternoon.

At night, the Division said, skies will remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, particularly in the hilly regions, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy conditions. Moderate rainfall is likely in some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki, with heavy showers possible in one or two hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati, and parts of Madhesh province.

According to the Division, the monsoon trough is currently positioned near its average location, with moisture-laden winds from both the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal influencing Nepal’s weather.
