The Meteorological Forecasting Division said on Tuesday morning that skies will remain generally cloudy across Nepal over the next 24 hours.

In the afternoon, moderate rain is likely in some areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in a few hill regions elsewhere. One or two places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces may experience heavy rain.

Tonight, moderate rain is expected in parts of Koshi, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, including other hill regions. Heavy rain may occur at one or two places in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces, the division said.

According to meteorologists, the monsoon trough is situated near its average position, while moist winds from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal continue to affect Nepal’s weather.
