The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said the country will see generally cloudy conditions over the next 24 hours, with rain expected in many areas.
On Monday afternoon, moderate rainfall is likely in many places of Lumbini Province and in several hill regions, with a few Tarai areas also affected. Heavy rainfall is expected in some parts of Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces, while very heavy rainfall may occur in one or two areas of Gandaki and Lumbini.
At night, moderate rainfall is forecast in many places of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in some areas of the remaining provinces. Heavy rain is likely in parts of Gandaki, Lumbini, Koshi, Karnali and Sudurpaschim, with chances of very heavy rainfall in one or two areas of Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim.
According to the Division, the monsoon trough is currently positioned near its average location, with moisture-laden winds from both the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal influencing Nepal’s weather.
