The Meteorological Forecasting Division said on Monday morning that hilly regions will see generally cloudy conditions and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Scattered moderate rainfall is likely in some hilly areas and at a few places in the Tarai. One or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces may see heavy rain.

Tonight, hilly areas of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces are expected to remain generally cloudy, with partly cloudy skies elsewhere. Moderate rainfall is possible at some places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati, and at a few locations in the hills and Tarai of other provinces. Heavy rain is also likely at one or two places in the hills and Tarai of Koshi Province.

According to the Division, the monsoon trough is currently positioned south of its average location.
