The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said the country will see generally cloudy conditions today, with chances of moderate rain in some hilly areas and parts of the Tarai, especially in Lumbini Province.

For tonight, Koshi and Madhesh provinces along with the hilly regions are likely to remain mostly cloudy, while other areas may see partly cloudy skies. Moderate rain is expected in several areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places in the hills of other provinces. Isolated heavy rain is also possible in parts of Koshi’s Tarai and the hills of Bagmati Province.

According to the division, the monsoon trough is currently positioned south of its average location.
