The monsoon trough remains close to its normal position, and stronger monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal have brought cloudy skies to most parts of Nepal since Friday morning.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division said many areas are experiencing rainfall, while some places in Koshi and Lumbini provinces have already seen heavy showers. It added that cloudy conditions are likely to persist throughout the day, with light to moderate rain in the hilly regions of all provinces.
The Division further warned of possible heavy rain in certain parts of Koshi, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces. Nighttime conditions will also remain cloudy, with chances of heavy rainfall in some areas of Koshi and Sudurpaschim.
