The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces will see generally cloudy skies with chances of light to moderate rain at some places on Thursday afternoon. A few places in other regions may also receive rainfall.

Heavy showers are likely at one or two places in the Tarai of Lumbini Province and in the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces.

Tonight, skies will remain generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain is expected at many places in the hills and at a few locations in other regions. The Division has forecast heavy rainfall at one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with the Tarai of Lumbini and Koshi provinces.

According to the Division, the monsoon trough is currently positioned near its average location, while the influence of monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal has increased slightly.
