The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said skies will remain generally cloudy across the country on Wednesday, with chances of moderate rainfall in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and in some hilly areas. Heavy rain is expected at one or two places in the hilly parts of Koshi and Gandaki provinces this afternoon.

Tonight, Koshi, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, along with the country’s hilly regions, will see generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the areas will be partly cloudy. Moderate rainfall is likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, with chances of heavy rain at one or two places in the hilly and Tarai regions of Koshi, Gandaki and Lumbini.

The division said the monsoon trough is currently situated near its average position.
