The Meteorological Forecasting Division said the weather will remain generally cloudy across the country on Friday.

Moderate rainfall is likely in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, especially in the hilly regions, while a few places in the Tarai could also see rain. Heavy rainfall is expected in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as both the Tarai and hills of Lumbini Province.

At night, hilly regions are expected to remain generally cloudy, with partly cloudy conditions elsewhere. Some areas in the hills and a few places in the Tarai are likely to see moderate rain, while one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces could experience heavy rainfall.

According to the Division, the monsoon trough is currently positioned near its normal location.
