The Meteorological Forecasting Division said the weather will remain generally cloudy across the country on Monday.

In the afternoon, there is a chance of moderate rainfall in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Madhesh and Lumbini provinces, including hilly areas elsewhere. Heavy rain is likely at a few places in Lumbini’s Tarai and Bagmati’s hill regions.

At night, Koshi and Madhesh provinces and most hill regions will remain generally cloudy, while other areas will see partial cloud cover. Moderate rainfall is expected in parts of Koshi, Madhesh and other hill regions, with heavy rain likely in Koshi’s Tarai and hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

According to the Division, the monsoon trough remains south of its normal position, keeping monsoon activity relatively weak over Nepal. However, moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal continue to affect the country.
