The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that Sudurpaschim Province and the country’s hilly areas will see generally cloudy skies on Saturday afternoon, while the rest of the regions will remain partly cloudy.

Moderate rain is likely at a few places in the hilly and Tarai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in some hilly areas of other provinces. One or two places in the remaining Tarai regions may also receive moderate showers.

On Saturday night, Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces and the hilly areas of other provinces will remain generally cloudy, with partly cloudy conditions elsewhere. Moderate rainfall is possible at a few places in the hilly and Tarai areas of Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in some hilly areas of other provinces. One or two places in the rest of the Tarai may also see moderate rain.

The division said the monsoon trough lies south of its average position, resulting in weak monsoon conditions over Nepal.
