The Meteorological Forecasting Division said the monsoon trough is currently positioned near Nepal’s Tarai, keeping the monsoon system active for the next 24 hours.

Daytime conditions will remain mostly cloudy across the country. Moderate rain is likely in most areas, with heavy to very heavy rainfall expected in parts of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Karnali Province may also see heavy rain in some areas.

Tonight, skies will stay overcast in the hilly regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and partly cloudy elsewhere. Moderate rain is likely in many places in these areas, with heavy to very heavy rainfall possible in parts of Sudurpaschim, Lumbini’s Tarai, and the hills of Gandaki and Karnali.
