Post Report
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted generally cloudy skies across the country over the next 24 hours, with moderate to heavy rainfall expected in many areas.
According to the Division’s bulletin issued at 6am on Monday, there is a likelihood of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in several places across all provinces during the day. One or two places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces may witness heavy rainfall.
Rainfall is expected to intensify during the night, particularly in Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with moderate rain likely in many areas. The Division has also forecast heavy to very heavy rain at a few locations in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
The weather office attributed the current conditions to the active monsoon system, noting that the monsoon trough is positioned slightly north of its average location, lying close to Nepal’s Tarai region.
