The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy across the country on Tuesday, with moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning likely in many parts of the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces, and at a few places in the Tarai.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, one or two areas in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces may experience heavy rainfall.

During the night, partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected over the hilly regions including Lumbini Province, while the Tarai is likely to see partly cloudy skies. There is a chance of moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few locations in the hills and at one or two places in the Tarai.

The division said the monsoon is currently active across the country, with the monsoon trough lying near the average position in the west and slightly north of the average position in the east.
