The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy across the country throughout Sunday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

There is a chance of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some hilly areas and a few places in the Tarai. Heavy rainfall is also likely at one or two locations in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Gusty winds are expected in the Tarai areas of Madhesh and Lumbini provinces.

The division said similar weather conditions will prevail at night, with a possibility of moderate rainfall in some hilly areas of Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces and light to moderate rainfall in a few Tarai regions. Heavy rainfall is again possible at one or two hilly locations in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
