The Meteorological Forecasting Division said that hilly areas across the country will remain generally cloudy on Saturday, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy skies. Thunderstorms accompanied by moderate rainfall are likely at a few places in the hills and at one or two locations in the Tarai region.

The Division also forecast wind gusts in the Tarai areas of Koshi and Madhesh provinces during the day.

For Saturday night, the weather will remain generally cloudy in Koshi and other hilly regions, and partly cloudy elsewhere. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in the hilly and Tarai regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at isolated spots in other provinces.

Windy conditions are also expected in the Tarai areas of Madhesh and Lumbini provinces.

The Division said monsoon winds remain weak across the country, with the monsoon trough located near the average position.
