The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted light to moderate rainfall across many parts of Nepal on Saturday, with chances of heavy rainfall in some areas.

According to the Division, partly to generally cloudy conditions will prevail throughout the country today. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at some places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at a few places elsewhere. One or two places in the hilly regions may also witness heavy rainfall. Light to moderate rain or snowfall is expected at a few locations in the high-hill and mountainous regions.

Tonight, similar weather conditions are expected to continue. Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely at some places in the hilly regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. A few locations in these provinces may also receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. High-hill and mountainous areas could see light to moderate rain or snowfall.

The Division said the ongoing weather pattern is due to the active monsoon system currently influencing the entire country.
